Cash On Delivery is an hilarious farce by Michael Cooney. Michael obviously inherited the skills of his famous actor/playwright father, Ray Cooney who directed the first West End production in 1996.
A fast moving comedy about benefit fraud, it combines traditional British bawdiness with numerous twists and turns as characters leap to assumptions, are forced to pretend to be things they aren’t and talk at cross purposes – all to hilarious effect. The play includes multiple impersonations, an escaping corpse, cross-dressing and an exploding washing machine!
Cash on Delivery directed by Barbara Harris.
Michael Cooney is the son of the well-known British farceur, Ray Cooney, and in 2003 teamed up with his famous father to write the extremely successful farce, Tom, Dick and Harry.
