PLAYERS THEATRE ADULT SECTION ENTRY:

“LAST PANTO IN LITTLE GRIMLEY” BY DAVID TRISTRAM

PLAYERS YOUTH THEATRE ENTRY:

TBC

1

During the week of June 6th – 11th, our theatre will be hosting the above festival. As the host society, our entry will be performed on the final night, Saturday 11th. Our Youth group will also be entering.

Players Theatre wants to end the festival on a high note and to that end will be performing “Last Panto in Little Grimley”. This is the long awaited sequel to “Last Tango in Little Grimley”, for which Players have previously won the overall trophy.

The play has the same four characters:

Gordon 40s/50s. Bustling, loud and harassed

The “director” of this AmDram group and desperate to keep the society of four together.

Bernard 40s/50s. Coarse, frank and a grumbler

The stage manager, set builder, electrician and general handyman who gets drawn into playing a part.

Margaret 40s/50s. Diva, a cut above!!!

The “diva” of the group who considers herself to be the greatest actress to ever grace the stage.

Joyce 30s/40s. An innocent who loves to sing but can’t. A worrier and very sensitive

Acts as secretary/treasurer and who desperately wants Little Grimley Amateur Dramatic Society to do a musical.

We will be holding open auditions for “Panto” on Tuesday February 9th, so if you fancy being a Gordon, a Bernard, a Margaret or a Joyce, then come along to the theatre at 8pm.
